insufficiency through the completion of knee
extension when the hips are more abducted or through the
completion of hip
abduction when the knees are more extended. The biarticulate
gracilis enters active
insufficiency through the completion of knee
flexion when the hips are more adducted (hamstrings
become more active) or through the completion of hip
adduction when the knees are more flexed (other hip
adductors become more active).
