ExRx.net is looking to partner with a few talented web programmers
interested in helping us with our Exercise Prescription Web App
project.
Initially our web application was being developed in CakePHP
with MooTools and MySQL. After over a year of development, our
programmer has recently left the project, so we have decided
to start fresh and build a new team. We are currently considering
utilizing one of two CMS for rapid development:
- Joomla 3.0 CMS
- Bootstrap, PHP, JQuery and LESS/CSS
- PyroCMS 2.1
- Application framework based on a HMVC model
- Built in PHP (CodeIgniter technology)
- Bootstrap, JQuery, and CSS
The goal was to develop a unique exercise prescription web
application based upon plans that have been designed and refined
over the last several years. We have since decided to take a
more incremental approach to our development. Early versions
will likely be offered free to our
visitors in effort to reach critical mass in adopting this
new tool. Developers would work in exchange for a percentage
of profits derived from premium accounts introduced in future
versions.
We are currency speaking with two interested developers who
have contacted us in response to this notice. They can only work
part-time on this project, so we are hoping to attract one or
two more developers.
