About the Author

Kyle J. McInnis, Sc.D., FACSM, is an Associate Professor in The Department of Human Performance and Fitness at The University of Massachusetts-Boston. A fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine, Dr. McInnis is an ACSM certified Program Director. His research interests include the use of exercise for weight control and cardiovascular disease risk reduction. One of the areas to which he is most committed is preparing fitness professionals to work with special populations in health clubs.
