Post subject:  Central Nervous System Fatigue

I keep on reading about central nervous system fatigue; how its induced, how to prevent it, and how to recover. I'm not really satisfied with knowing about this phenomenon on such a superficial level, I am looking for is a more detailed explanation of the neural, cellular or intercellular causes of central nervous system fatigue. Is there a particular part of the CNS that is fatigued? Are any neurotransmitters, hormones or receptors implicated? Or is it just 'global fatigue' with no known molecular cause. I have a background in neuroscience which gives me a good understanding of biological and CNS related jargon and I would like to know more on this topic. Any answers or links explaining CNS fatigue in detail would be much appreciated.

About the only person I know that thinks about this in any depth is Matt Perryman. You can find his blog here: http://www.myosynthesis.com/
