Calluses from barbell

A bunch of (barbell) exercises seem to mess up my hands: SLDL, Calve Raises, and Hack Squats How do you deal with that? Its tolerable with 1 set but eventually it gets to the point where I cant lift because my hands are in pain. Its really bad if I do multiple sets of those exercises. Should I use g...

Average gains per workout?

If I work out 3x a week, doing 1 set of 8-12 reps, whats normal to expect on the next workout?

Like if I do 9x145 bench presses, should the increase only be 1 rep or 2 per workout or more than that?


(I only weigh 140-145)
