Re: about statins, LDL and mortality
You don't think there is connection between these organizations and drug companies? I'm sure everything is connected to everything else, as Dirk Gently taught me so many years ago. If we go by "connection" we can eliminate every research ever done. However, the research was not funded by said compa...

Isometrics can build strength, but at a limited part of the muscle's ROM... the muscles weren't strong through their full ROM. Is this a fact? I mean, can the muscle get stronger on part of its ROM and remain weak on other parts? I was under the impression that the muscle tension-length function (l...

Re: Myths in sports hydration and nutrition
It should make it clear that any claims that people should drink a particular amount of water per day, or drink before feeling thirsty during sports are nonsense What's your explanation for the abundance of kidney stones during summer or in warm climate regions? e.g. http://www.sulphurdailynews.com...

Re: squat question
Who knows, maybe I will be able to do one pistol after all. I did! repeat: I did! The form leaves a lot to be desired (Soon I'll try to have something on Youtube) but I was able to go all the way down and up even on my weaker leg. I am using dumbbells for balance, and they also make the exercise sl...

Re: Warning: DMAA may be unsafe
Apparently the claim was made that DMAA comes from geranium plants, and is therefore "natural" and therefore safe. If it were true that it did, indeed, come from geraniums that wouldn't be any means make it safe. Lots of plants are toxic. Of course, in this case it was shown that it didn't come fro...
