Thanks for the replies.
I agree with the self massage. I really just wanted to go to help me see what i need to work on. It definitely is costly though.
I'll have another attempt at the spikey ball and try to work it around some of the muscles the foam roller has trouble reaching.

massage reccomendations?
I'm looking for advice on different types of massage and am trying to find a certain type that will benefit me the most. I'm mostly looking for massage that gives results, and eases chronic tension - I don't mind pain or discomfort during massages I have been to a myotherapist, and have also had dry...

Re: 5x5 routine, overtraining?
Have you tried doing lower weights with a bit more reps for a week with the same exercises? When I start burning out I actually do 4X8 instead of 5X5. Thats all I change. Works wonders. I ended up changing the workout a lot. I really just do about 40-50 reps, then 20 reps, then 10, etc. I feel this...

Thanks Anna. Do you know if they have size 13's (US)?Anna_09 wrote:I recommend to buy specially designed Louis Vuitton shoes for women. It has been found that women spend more time standing than a man. I really felt great comfort and style with these shoes.

Re: tight hip flexor on one side
Thanks, my glutes are having a hard time activating, but its improving. As for squats or deadlifts, should my glutes be fatiguing before other muscles?

Re: tight hip flexor on one side
Thanks, i'll definitely do those exercises that were recommended. I think my sway back posture is due to the amount of time i spent sitting. Then trying to emphasize the glutes, i hyper extend during reps. I was aware of hyper extending, and i was sure i wasn't doing it because the movement felt nat...

Re: tight hip flexor on one side
I have heard this many times :)
I'v payed 100's to get that same answer from physio's. I figured out that it was my sway back posture that was causing most of my problems.

tight hip flexor on one side
At the moment i seem to have SIJ problems. Without going through my list of injuries/pains, I would like to know what problems a tight hip flexor on my left side might cause? or what exactly would cause a tight hip flexor or hamstring on one side.
Thanks!
Thanks!

advice on running shoes
I was recently wearing custom orthotics in a brooks pureflow shoe. I have had a number of soft tissue injuries such as achilles tendonosis, which is why the orthotics were recommended to me 4 yrs ago. I still get some nagging pains while running however i found that i do not get the pain while runni...

Re: Doing the same routine
Increases in weight was very slow when doing 20 rep. I have started doing 20 -25 reps then decreasing reps and increasing weight each set, from research i have read this is a good way to train, to work type 1 and 2 muscle fibres and also prevents injury and promotes longevity of joints (it is simila...

Re: 5x5 routine, overtraining?
training squats every second day does seem like a lot, I'm only familiar to the recovery times of endurance/hypertrophy training. I have currently only been doing upper body/lower body split for 4 days a week at 3x15-20 rep range, and running also.I am looking at starting a strength routine, maybe d...

5x5 routine, overtraining?
Hi all, so I'm starting to lift heavier weights to help with injury prevention and athletic performance and i have seen most of the 5x5 routines. I have noticed a big improvement in my SI joint problem but i am wary of overdoing it. My question is, will this routine below give me balanced strength i...
