Comment on sprint workout

When I do cardio, I do 1 min sprint then 1 min walk. Currently Im doing them at 8.5mph then 3.5mph. The goal is get up to 10mph and then increase the incline. This is basically my version of HIIT.

Is this an efficient way of doing cardio?
Is there anything I should change?
