Well, I won't clutter up your gyms with my first of the year resolve to get back in shape. <g> But I DO hope to clutter up my own basement gym getting back to it! It seems like I've spent most of this year getting OUT of shape! ha! Hope all my old friends here are having a wonderful Christmas Day. I...

yes..but, I think it would be a mistake to assume that's what's happening here. For one thing, not enough time has gone by.elemental wrote:Another good test is if your weight drops but your body fat doesn't....
For another..4lbs is nothing.
A bodyfat check in a couple more weeks will probably be more telling.

Lean schlmean!! he doesn't have to worry about EATING saturated fat...cuz he is drinking gallons of it! ""One cup of whole milk has as much artery clogging saturated fat as one hot dog, 5 strips of bacon, a Snickers candy bar, or a fast food hamburger!"" As long as you're drinking a gallon or two of...

I agree with Ironman, that adding a shake before and after workouts could help you. I think your diet looks pretty good, but, wonder about all of that full fat milk. Why not cut that back to skim milk? or 2%? That would give you the chance to add some good whole foods, and some interest to your diet...

well... it sounds pretty serious if he's got to keep his leg straight while sitting down. I have a friend who lost a TON swimming. She was never comfortable, and still isn't, peeling off her clothing in front of any one, and instead of popping into a bikini, or even a full one piece bathing suit, sh...

Sliver, I do not know the answers to your questions. HOWEVER, you CAN purchase beef privately. And that's not such a bad idea<g> For instance, I have a friend who's family ranch sells hay, and they have a SMALL herd of what I call 'happy cows'. He's told me that they sell a few every year. I don't h...

well, I'm not a bodybuilder. BUT.. I used to know this guy who had an AMAZING body, AND was a fantastic powerlifter, with a flat out incredible bench press (I think I saw him bench 525 once..in the 165 class) We used to call him the Milkman, because he swore that MILK was the only 'supplement' a per...

okay.. It sounds like you are not too obese, but also like you are not doing any weight training. My suggestion for you would be for you to begin a lifting program. If you go to the main section of this site, you'll find a link to the Weight Training section. There you will find links for planning y...

This thread is pretty far down...but anyways, why isn't it an option to go over an hour for a total body workout? If you do an hour and a half for a total body every other day, three days a week, are you seriously holding yourself back because you aren't getting enough rest or something? I always t...

well you see, sometimes, someone asks a question, and a couple of people answer, and the answers are so SPOT ON, that the rest of us don't feel like we have to fill up the bandwidth with a bunch of repetitive posts or hot air. And we skip all the blathering flame wars that go out on other forums. It...
