Picayune Concern Over Lat Exercises on the Main Site

Does anyone know who we e-mail if we find errors on the site? I was reading the lats section: http://www.exrx.net/Lists/ExList/BackWt.html#anchor125439" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Some of the weighted pull up moves are listed under 'cable exercises' by mistake. Pull-up New! Parall...

Re: Found more lost gems (new + old views on rear deltoid li

No. Why do you hate the older pictures? The guy doing the moves is using a different variation of form for the moves, and lifting more weight. Consider learning a foreign language or becoming proficient at a musical instrument. I have, thinking of doing Japanese and guitar perhaps. But I don't want...

Re: Barbell front raises and incline benches

I'm hoping we can perhaps avoid discussion of legs/quads because this really wasn't what I intended for it to focus on. While it's true that leaning on a bench would help to reduce leg momentum, I was thinking moreso of the shift in active lifting angle. I would really love is to have some EMG analy...

Re: targetting medial head of triceps

Has anybody actually found any evidence (other than anecdotal broscience) that stuff pine supination could affect the medial/lateral head emphasis? I don't understand how this would work if it did. It's not like elbow flexors where the biceps and brachioradialis are attaches to the radius and so the...

Found more lost gems (new + old views on rear deltoid lifts)

Cable Row to Neck with Elbows Out : as best I can tell it may have been replaced with Cable Rear Delt Row . Even though it's at DeltoidPosterior URL, it doesn't link to the section at the top, nor does the section appear to list it anymore. Do they look the same to anyone else, or can someone pick ...

Barbell front raises and incline benches

Was comparing normal version to this version . Was wondering if anyone on the board did either of them. I was thinking, the one that is shown has you leaning back onto the bench (face-up, semi-supine). I can't find a demo but does anyone do it in the other direction, where you lean forward, face-dow...

Re: Why you hatin on the Upright Row?

I had a thread on here earlier comparing upright laterals with bent laterals and the same questions about torso inclination and how they would affect which part of the shoulder we are using also applies to rowing movements. Like if we simply leaned forward during an upright row, perhaps we could sti...

Re: Do leg curls lead to hamstring dominance?

It's kind of odd though since it's not a hip-extension movement. Sort of like saying "don't train biceps or you'll become bicep-dominant during rows and pullups".

Re: cement blocks

This seems like a good way to elevate the legs of a bench so we can do chest-supported barbell rows with 45lb plates, seeing as how most benches are too low people to lower their arms very far.

Re: More censorship in the lats' section - straight arm pull

Dude are you serious Yes, of course. I think straight-arm pulldowns are cool. I am not faking this enthusiasm. If I were, that would be trolling, and I am opposed to that. I'm not cool enough to do it like Chris Jericho is. who? you all are troll feeders. Hi, read this: http://www.c2.com/cgi/wiki?A...

More censorship in the lats' section - straight arm pulldown

A continuation of this previous thread I noticed something incredibly odd. Here is a straight-arm pulldown, a traditional movement: http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/LatissimusDorsi/CBStraightArmPulldown.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; As you can see at the top, it is categoriz...

my opinion of him after having read loads of his stuff is he's the bees knees, so I believe him. Faith can be misplaced. I have a generally very high opinion of guys like Christian Thibaudeau, for example. A lot of his stuff makes complete sense, and I want to place my faith in him. But then I come...

Re: Bret Contreras Says Deadlifts are Hamstring Dominant????

Contreras does'n't clarify important things in his claims/studies, like with the 'chins for abs' claim, we don't know if he was even comparing it to a weighted crunch. If hanging with your BW was more challenging on the abs than a BW crunch it says nothing for the effectiveness of weighted things.

Is this your question? Yup, the rest is context. your question is redundant. I'm sure you've been told before that the forum has no influence over the main site. If you seriously want an answer, you need to direct it to the sites owner. I figured they might hang out here, and it's probably good to ...

Modifications in back section for chin-up and pull-up pages

http://i.imgur.com/MMc24.jpg I noticed a bunch of updates here, ExRx used to define Chin/Pull in some terms where it seemed to be dependent on the path the body took relative to the arms or something like that. Now it seems like it's been changed to reflect the "chin = underhand/supine" and "pull =...
