Re: Random crap

Driving is a privilege, but then no one is trying to ban cars, or even to reduce the number of drivers. There are however many groups and individuals in the US dedicated to banning firearms, so it's understandable that gun owners are generally suspicious of plans to register guns or licence gun own...

Re: Random crap

Obviously a car isn't a weapon, but that's not really the point. Cars and guns are both potentially dangerous. Both have legitimate uses, and both can be misused. I agree, but I think the effects of taking guns off the streets would be more beneficial, where-as cars would have huge consequences. A ...

Re: Random crap

A car isn't a toy either. Driving is a big responsibility, and even experienced, responsible drivers can make mistakes, but no one wants to ban cars. A car is very useful and is designed to transfer people or things from one location to another. Comparing guns to cars is beyond apples to oranges. A...

Re: Random crap

If your kids have a toy that requires safety and responsible use, if they break the rules, you take it away right? Then they can have it back when they can play with it responsibly. I wouldn't consider a gun which is designed to kill things a, "toy." I know thats not what you mean but, "responsible...

Re: Random crap

Hmm I think I'm alone on my opinion when it comes to gun laws. I don't think anyone should be allowed to own a gun. Use one, yes but not own or carry one around wherever they want. If you want to go hunting or to a shooting range you can borrow a gun and use it for the day or for hunting, a week or ...

Re: Random crap

Yeah, Marvel has had way more exposure but the quality in the recent DC films make up for it. Man of Steel looks promising, Christopher Nolan is working on it so it must be good lol. I hope they make a Justice League, but I don't want them to rush the other characters like they did for the Avengers.

Re: Random crap

Who's your favourite superhero? Mine's Batman. I know he's not, "super," because he lacks supernatural powers but thats what makes him so great, is that he can be anyone. He's more than just a person, he's an idea. I just saw the Dark Knight Rises (twice) so I might be a little biased but he's so un...

Re: Random crap

Speaking about bombs, kids in the US die or get injured all the time from simple home-made explosives. Especially on or around special events like Independence day. Michael Yon is currently working on a book about this subject.

Re: Barak - expectations revisited

FYI, we Canadians (though not all of us) do not lack your media exposure, and we definitely do not lack the liberal exposure from Hollywood.

Re: Paleo and grains

yeah ordinarily I'd agree with not using blogs but Mark's Daily Apple is just so good! I trust it 100%, although some of his ideas are a little new-age for me (geophagy anyone?). I think it's probably the best health resource on the net Really 100%? Best health resource on the net....? From a guy t...
