Kinda depends on your priorities. You're getting a lot of benefit from the hamstring curls, so you could just blow off the stiffies. Also, some glute-ham raises will give some aspect of hamstring work at the hip joint (yes back limited, but so are stiffies, really). You could do the bent knee cable ...

I find being outdoors, that I get stimulation regardless of it being non-interval (whether cycling, running or blading). Also turns and hills and stoplights and such give some small variability to the workout (far from intervals, but at least mentally helpful). I'm a big believer in "energy math" (c...

I'm a normal person and prefer SS cardio. Especially as I'm older and sick of getting injured. A good point. Not everyone is suited for HIIT, be it due to age or injuries. That is why I specifically omitted special needs clients. Even if they have no special needs (physical limits), I would make su...

I guess it is pretty close to a cross pullout to support. Little different, because of the cables pulling more to the side, though.

I googled and found a picture of it. And of other people asking what to call it! On BB.com. http://xercisefactor.com/view_video.php?viewkey=78fad3d6dffe419384e7 http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=113311681 It has an interesting feel to it. Little harder at the beginning, then when at 45 ...

name of exercise: like an iron cross but with cables.

Added in something where I use crossover cables, but do a straight arm pulldown to side of the body. sorta like the exercise below, but with cables: http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/LatissimusDorsi/LVIronCross.html What should I call it, Do we have a writeup for it? And will it be similar muscles...

I like the hip thrusts. Bridge-ing is probably more of a perfect glute isolation, but I like getting a little more whole body in with the hip thrust. And by concentrating on the squeeze at the end of the exercise, I still get the glute isolation benefit. It does load my lower back a little, even try...

Just do normal pullups like on the elementary school physical fitness testing. The pronated grip takes your bicep mostly out of the action. And the complete up, down makes it harder. No kip either. Making it harder means you can get more exercise without needing to hang a weight on you. It also more...

I have no clue on the anatomy or condition. My Boston marathoning PT has some ankle issues, but says standing calf raises (BW singles) help him with them. Have no clue if will help, but just a thought. Is the pain more there when you have bent knee (solues stretch)? Have you tried Thompson test for ...
