Re: Pain in calves after running
Thanks dudes! I always had soreness in my calves, but never like this. Back when I was young I could run for 45 minutes with nice speed, so I thought that this wouldn't be a problem...

Re: Your take on cheese?
If by health he means eating real cheese ( see #5 ). I switched to milk that isn't pasteurized (that my parents by from some village) for six or seven months and the only thing that has changed is that I don't have any problems with breathing. Before I had to use spray every day so I could unclog my...

Pain in calves after running
Hi guys, I have a very big problem right now so I must ask you for advice... I haven't run for a year, but I was doing exercises with light weights for that time (50kg). Before three days I run 12 minutes and (after sitting down for a while) 8 minutes more. I started running on toes. I found nice fl...

Re: increasing speed for soccer
but why do all the boxers train rope skipping all the time? Well, they need to be on their toes for the whole match because it helps to reduce the power of the punch. You don't receive punches, you just need to fall down when somebody is near you http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs11/i/2006/195/0/4/_Zida...

Re: Breathing to fix posture?
It might not be too good to be true. When our body doesn't try to survive (so all the time), the next thing it wants is to have enough oxygen. Our left lung is smaller than the right one, so our body twists so it can take more air. And if we don't breath with our diaphragm, we use more of our upper ...

Re: Problems with running
seriously though I thought the shock absorption and ankle stability from a decent pair of running shoes was a must... They are a must IF we land on our heel. The point is that we must not land on our heel, or (if we run marathons) we must learn to land on our heel and, after a small part of a secon...

Problems with running
Hi guys. The time has come for me to start running, I mean just running, not some kind of real sport. I now don't have Physical Education anymore and I must start doing this. I have some Adidas shoes that I use for every day occasions, and I tried running in them. But I got some calluses. So I went ...

Re: per cent body fat and strength
They will have the same amount of strength, and will be able to lift the same poundage. But the fat guy will lift less weights on barbell because he has to move his fat, too. So maybe it depends on the place where the extra fat is stored. If it is in legs, it won't be too big problem for deadlifts a...

Re: Estimated Calorie Requirements Overestimates Calorie
From what I read in the first post, I guess that you think that our body spends all its energy only on muscles and moving. You know that the brain is the body's largest energy consumer, even in the absence of demanding tasks? That sitting can be either just trying to relax or studying or working. An...

Re: Sound while doing Pistols
Yeah, and I learned how to do them after one day (I did them in a doorway, it's really good to learn how to descend). I thought it would take me months because everyone speaks strangely about them, but maybe I have strong legs :con: I don't hear anything with any other squat. I guess I'll continue d...

Sound while doing Pistols
Hi dudes! Maybe I have some problem. When I do pistols (one-legged squat) with left knee everything is all right. But when I do them with my right knee I hear strange sound, it's not like clicking, it's more like something is tearing apart. http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs8/i/2005/300/3/d/_Fall_Apart__...

Re: Wow, fat has made it to mainstream...
The idea of minimizing red meat keeps coming up in a number of flawed studies. Too much iron may be an issue in men but otherwise, no valid mechanism has ever been shown for any health issues with red meat. In many daily newspaper and those magazines for women (that my sister and mother read) you c...

I'm very sorry to hear this about TimD. From what I've read in the past year or so, I think he was a good fellow.
Well, no-one can do all those analyses every month like we are supposed to do. It was his time.
