I found the best thing for my chest was to mix it up well with declines, inclines and flat.

Love those declines!

Mixing it up has seemed to be a repeating theme here at the forums, I guess the more the better to stimulate your body.

Perhaps the biceps isn't as insufficient during pronated grip, seeing that supinated grip really puts the biceps into severe mechanical disadvantage by having the arms too elevated at the beginningof the motion and having the elbow already flexed just when the arm is coming down and the biceps would...

I believe the implication is that the pronated grip will invariably widen your grip and involve more shoulder adduction. An underhand grip is naturally closer.

I believe the idea is that running on your toes allows your calves to "spring" into action. plus it effectively makes you taller which should lengthen your stride if done correctly.

I found that when starting up weight lifting after my surgery, good form was easy to maintain on isolation exercises. Machines were a big help.

Are you sure the three quick breaths isn't to expel carbon dioxide or perhaps to stretch the lungs (?) , not necessarily to increase oxygen intake, seeing that in most people your lungs take in more than they need at normal altitudes.
