Atleast their hearts are in the right place, I still have hope that science will prevail, and eliminate all the private prejudice in this industry.

Re: Cleans/power cleans -- lacking flexibility for proper gr

You could just load the bar up with A LOT of weight, put your arms in position and push your elbows up and stretch for as long as you can. Or just put the bar under something, preventing it from going up and do the same thing.

A lot of people have this same problem, it takes time to get flexible.

Re: Random Controversey Crap (Politics, etc)

Religion came well after our species had evolved... This is balderdash. How do you know such a thing? What archaeological, genetic or historical evidence is there? None. This is an unfounded assertion . Well actually theres lots of evidence to suggest that religion came, I'd say before a million ye...

Re: Random Controversey Crap (Politics, etc)

When you read "The Demon Haunted World", pay close attention to the chapter "The Fine Art of Baloney Detection". It is an amazing crash course in skepticism, and critical thinking. Yeah, I will! I think a course in critical thinking should be taught in high school or atleast, part of the science cu...

Re: Random Controversey Crap (Politics, etc)

This is of course, the "short, short, SHORT" version. There are whole books written about these things. That should give you a good idea of what I am talking about though. Like 'The Believing Brain' by Michael Shermer. I haven't read it yet, but I am finally reading 'The Demon Haunted World' by Car...

Re: BP spotting tips

I think told this story once, I was attempting a new RM and I asked some random guy to help spot me. He put his ARMS, UNDER the bar (resting on his elbows) and pulls the weight up and says, "keep going!" I racked it and said, listen, don't touch it unless I can't lift it, ok? So I go again and I was...

Re: Nootropics

I'm kinda interested in this, does anyone know a good dealer to buy from, online? I don't think they sell Piracetam in Canada and I could use a little boost in school.

Re: Random Controversey Crap (Politics, etc)

The demands aren't irrational. They may be nebulous and lack specificity, but they are not irrational. It also depends on who you ask. Some people have better answers than others. Keep in mind, it's not a free market if there are no rules in place to prevent people from cheating. If the market is r...

Re: Random Controversey Crap (Politics, etc)

With regards to the protests, some of points being made have an argument, like bank bail-outs, which should be targeted to gov't not corporations. But a lot of these, "demands," are just irrational, things like, "no more greed," taxing investment trades, one sign I saw read, "cuts kill.." I guess in...

Re: Random Controversey Crap (Politics, etc)

Lets get one thing straight, (if it hasn't been said yet) I doubt anyone who is Pro-life is actually Pro-life. What they are is Pro-human life. When did life start? Well thats about 3000 million years ago or more. Just something to think about. Also about SS and Medicare, they are unsustainable!! I'...

Re: Genetically modified food

Not all corporations lie... It seems the only groups against GM foods are generally, Organic, natural organizations, who are obviously in competition with GM foods and would rather not compete. So the profits issue is on both sides of the coin here. It is unfortunate that Monsanto is becoming such a...

Wealth Inequality

What does everyone here think of the wealth inequality in the world? Or rather the difference of standard of living between different ideologies, countries? What do you guys think about taxes, corporate, individual, sales, estate etc? If this gets into a heated debate, then good lol (I don't mean to...

News reporters were interviewing avg Canadians about the TFSA a...
