I have the same problem. I noticed a few weeks ago that overhead pressing was causing me pain, and then flat benching was causing me a little discomfort, but nowhere near as much as OHP. Then cleans were a problem, just holding the bar in the finish position was causing me discomfort. I can trace th...

Sling a towel over a chinup bar and hold on for as long as possible.

As Hoose said, you either have them or don't. I'm 6'2 and skinny as a rake, i don't do big forearms or calfs.

To be blunt you aren't going to produce a quality strength workout with a pair of 7kg dumbells. It just ain't gonna happen. I started lifting properly 6 months ago, and in that short time i can now squat 105kg and deadlift 125kg. That's not me trying to brag, i'm just showing the gains that can be m...

Hi, 5 X 5 is a strange amount of sets and reps to do if you're a marathon runner, definitely not if you're training for strength. There is no 'normal' set/rep range to train in, it all depends on what you are training for. 3-5 sets of 5-8 reps is pretty common for strength training, it's what i do. ...

I'm only winding him up, i understand and can sympathise with what he means. I was only trying to show how those comments/questions could be misconstrued. I ask my girlfriend, do my arms look bigger? Is my posture better? etc etc. Asking strangers on the internet though, that's another level. Doc, i...

Politics as summed up by Bill Hicks is about right for me.

"I think the puppet on the left shares my beliefs!"
"I think the puppet on the right shares my beliefs!"
"............Wait a minute, there'e one guy holding up both puppets!!!!"

A gun is simply a tool. It can be used for legitimate purposes (hunting, target shooting, self defense, etc.), or misused by a criminal, just as I could beat someone to death with a hammer. A gun is simply a tool, to kill something else. Hunting is killing, target practise is training to be a bette...

Gay marriage - I really don't care, what's it got to do with me? Abortion - There's is an ethical dilemma her for sure. But ultimately yet again, what's it got to do with me? It's a choice that is down to the individual as far as i'm concerned, they're the ones who have to live with the after effect...

I really don't understand you Americans and your fascination with guns. I'm from the UK. As far as i understand it, a gun is an instrument of death, it's sole purpose is to kill. Simple as. Matt, in another thread you passionately called abortion 'infiantcide', on the one hand you're pro-life yet th...

I support the death penalty in some cases. For example, mass murders/serial killers/serial rapists don't deserve to live. They can't be rehabbed. How can we justify wasting resources on these people, whose utility to society has essentially dried up? I read somewhere once that keeping a prisoner lo...

I supinate my dominant hand, which strangely is the hand that gives way first when i deadlift with my palms facing me (pronate?). Although i did fracture my right elbow earlier this year so that may have something to do with it.
