Good job on the 5/3/1 cycle. And yeah, the first few you just rack up crazy rep counts...but it really helps build you up for the later ones.

Are you in the middle of finals/graduation, etc? Maybe there's an explanation for all the :( faces and feeling like it's a bad workout. Maybe just some light stuff as a study break, and try to get some rest?

Actually I had my wisdom teeth pulled on tuesday, so the anesthesia/pain meds might be affecting me.

Graduation in 3 weeks! Only 2 finals :green:

I'm going to start the Anabolic Diet sometime soon. It shouldn't be too hard since I love to eat tons of meat and eggs anyway, I'll just have to switch to full cream instead of whole milk. I'd like to lose some of the fat I've put on but without sacrificing lots of strength/muscle, and this seems like a pretty solid plan. I'm thinking I'll start next Monday.

I'm pretty sure that "full cream" and "whole" milk are the same thing.

Doc, JML, full cream means different things in differrent countries. In Europe, it was actually the skim, which was all cream, fat, and NOT whole milk. Vince Gironda used to call it "fresh cream", which in the US means whipping, or heavy cream, just a very tasty milk based fat, which works well in scrambled eggs and other things requiring a milk based product.

I've recently started drinking 'full cream milk'. It's very tastey. 810 calories per litre. It's my new post workout drink. Sometimes you don't know whether to drink it or chew it.

I don't really understand the processes but, full cream has not been homogenised. All I really know is, it's a lot closer to real milk than normal whole milk is. Infact whole milk tastes like water when you've been drinking full cream milk for a while.

I hate that terminologies change from place to place. 'Full cream milk' is milk that have the normal amount of fat but can be reconstituted so it's like whole milk but doesn't have to be. It's also weird that whole milk in Canada is marks on the label as 3 1/4 % fat but in fact cow's milk is 3.9%fat by weight. Jersey cows have 5.2%. Kpj, I think what you're talking about is called whipping cream here. Some places call it heavy cream and is about 35% fat. I add it to my shakes. With protein, maybe a few blueberries, it's a full meal.

Edit, I'm wrong, Kpj, what your drinking is not what I'm thinking of. Not enough calories. You must be drink something slightly richer than whole milk but not as rich as half & half.

The one I drink is called "Gold Top" and is from Jersey cows.

All I really know is it tastes like 'real' milk. One of my closest friends lives on a farm. I grew up with him. He's drank 'real' milk all his life and growing up we would just go straight to the tank, scoop some out with a jug and drink away. Gold Top milk/full cream just tastes like the stuff at the farm.

btw i'm curious about this 35% fat stuff? Sounds great!

I envy you being able to get milk like that.

1 ounce of whipping cream is 100 calories of 2/3 saturated, 1/3 mono unsaturated and have all the good micronutrients you get in milk. Great for boosting your testosterone. You don't want to go too heavy on it, but you can get 3000 calories for about $5.
