The recommended ratio is 20:1, based on the fact that the amount of calcium you lose in urine bring proportional to the amount of protein you consume. Since I, as well as many of you I would imagine, consume a lot of protein... that kind of throws the whole ratio out of whack. I'm operating at about 8:1.
Does anyone have any knowledge on this, how bad is it for bone health?
