I've seen or heard this suggestion before, and it sounds interesting. I haven't tried it, mostly due to lack of creativity as to where to put up a bar. I'd like to hear more about how you did it (like how many you did each time compared to your reps-to-failure, and how your reps-to-failure went up over time).

When I was learning for my training-on-the-job I did something similar... Each time I went out of the room (fetch a cup of tea/coffee, going to the toilet, going for breakfast/lunch/dinner ...) I did some light prehab-stuff like band-pull-aparts. Easy to accumulate serious volume without bad technique this way... You could also take every commercial break on television to do some reps, in case you watch tv like that.

An article on t-nation suggested doing bodyweight squats and push-ups everytime you enter the bathroom.

After all, it is a bit like supersetting some chins between every pressing set (like Wendler advocates). I suggested this (via internet) to a girl who had trouble doing and progressing with 3x5 chins. With doing just 1, 2 and later 3 reps this way she reached doing 30 reps during the whole trainingsession (unless she didn`t lie to me :wink: ).

I guess you know the works of Pavel Tsatsouline ("Grease the grove") or Dr. Phil Maffetone ("Slow weights")?

I used a chair to help me train pullups over a three month period an it worked wonders

How did you use the chair? Doing negative pullups, or to hook a toe on for a boost?

I hate chin ups. As I could hardly do 2 to 3 reps max.. :S
