Re: Thoughts on MMA
Evans v Little Nog should be interesting. I think Evans should try to keep it on the feed since he seems faster, and Nogueiras are both really dangerous on the ground.

Re: Thoughts on MMA
Machida
His elusiveness and takedown defense will be more than a slow Hendo will handle. Machida will score enough, if not a finsih via choke after a strike to win 8/10 times.
Then again, Machida lost to Rampage, IIR because he started slow and judges scored mroe for aggresion and ring control then. Machida would do better in the old days NHB where you don't have to force anything. So, Hendo's best chance is judges who don't give rounds to figghters who back up.
Fitch fired is ridiculous. Sometimes I think the worst part about MMA is that it's a promootions first at the highest level, not a sport.

Re: Thoughts on MMA
Machida's movement could make problems for Hendo. However, if Henderson can close, I think he can dominate the clinch with takedowns and dirty boxing. Also, Henderson has very heavy hands and good timing. He's caught a lot of top fighters with "lucky punches." I don't think anyone is that lucky.

Re: Thoughts on MMA
True if Henderson can get in there. I think his KO chances are first round, maybe early second. I think cardio is going to catch up on him and Machida usually fights smart - to avoid Hendos limited options, imo
cant wait though. I like both of them.
Great first bout on facebook.

Re: Thoughts on MMA
Yes. And imo, it was not an early stoppage, as some, including Joe would say. Kos was on all fours (elbows on ground, too) up against the fence with Lawler throwing hammer bombs. After a few landed, Kos' eyes appeared to be looking - not at anything in particular, but just in his eye sockets. He was not defending. It was quick once Lawler got out of the control of Kos to spin around and start landing; but in that time, he did enough to convince me Herb was right.
Machida was Machida. And Dan was not quick enough to do much about it. One judge did seem to punish Machida for his elusiveness, according to the split decision

I heard Machida landed more strikes, but neither did much damage.

Dan landed a good bit of forgettable kicks, while Machida did land some body knees/kicks/ and punches with impact. But Dan it so hard headed, I'm not sure he felt em

Re: Thoughts on MMA
thank you Stephan and Brian for utilizing the only game plans could lead to defeat. It made for two incredible highlight finishes on an otherwise dissapointing card.

Re: Thoughts on MMA
I agree
It was good to be Canadien. Sorta Shocked Nick Ring wasn't given the decision.
and I agree with Nick Diaz. He did look flat. GSP makes everyone look much worse than they ever look elsewhere.
Hendricks with his wrestling... nah, what am I saying. He'll have a punchers chance.

just had a discussion with a friend, who thinks 99% of all MMA fighters train like crossfit. how many of the fighters really train like crossfit?
