So, apparently it takes more than just being incredibly strong to win a fight.

Check it out

I think he did pretty well for a relative novice (I'm assuming he's relatively new to the sport). Silvia is a tough fighter.

He seemed to come out strong and then just kind of give up.

He is a novice to the sport, and doesn't seem to have much background in ground fighting, which is how fights are so often won.

That's the problem with going from one sport where you are king to one where you are unknown - you would want to go to the top quickly. I don't think he was ready to fight Sylvia.

Yep.

Being strong helps a lot, but skill and experience can trump it.

I'm glad Mariusz lost the fight; he's inexperienced and he was fighting a former champion. If he's going to keep competing he's going to need to improve his skills a lot. I hope he does - keeps competing and improves.

I noticed Silvia makes good use of neck clinch. Meanwhile, Mariusz doesn't seem to know how to react. That's not too uncommon with inexperienced fighters and even some experienced ones (Rich Franklin).

Was shocked at how Mir got knocked out from the standing against the cage clinch.
