Re: I'm baaaaaaack
yeah, sorry about that.
Life got a bit crazy, which is to say that it got really crazy indeed. I don't even really want to get into it because it's a very long and very sad story. Suffice to say, were I able to do that procedure from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind then I would erase the period from summer last year until now.
C'est la vie, just one of those things, life goes on et cetera. I'll most likely be back on the forum regularly now, although perhaps not quite with the regularity I used to. I've started a new log which I'm looking forward to.
How's everything with you? What about the forum, are the old faces still here? I had a quick scan and it doesn't look like there's much from Dub or KPj.
As a treat, I shall go post some music in the thread.

It has been quiet. Doc was tied up in the Philippines but he's back now. Oscar dropped in once I think.robertscott wrote:yeah, sorry about that.

Re: I'm baaaaaaack
I'm still around, check in once or twice a week actually, it's just going through a quiet phase, really.
Good to see you back! Sorry to hear you've had some troubles and hope things are ok now.

I'm still here and plugging away.
What if the Hokey Cokey really IS what it's all about?

that's good, I'm glad there's familiar faces still. What about Hoose and Dub?

Re: I'm baaaaaaack
Dub disappeared about the same time as you, I reckon he left heartbroken when you disappeared. He pops by every now and again. Word on the street is that Hoose has been crying himself to sleep every night since you left, he pops by every now and again.

Re: I'm baaaaaaack
I come in every now and then. Crowd is not the same. Newbies get run off. If I see something the piques my interest I'll chime in. I lurk now.
Still lifting though - going for an 800 squat and 600 bench this summer.

Re: I'm baaaaaaack
wow those are some insane number Hoose. Where are you at currently?
Also, no deadlift goal?

Re: I'm baaaaaaack
585 to a two board and 545 to a one board for a double.
Squat has me a little concerned. I did 705 last August with plenty in the tank. My back has been squirrly but I did work up to 620 for a single on Sunday.
Deadlift is why my back has been squrrly. The more I work on it, the worse everything gets. I'm beginning to doubt I'll ever train DL again.

Are you still lifting in gear Hoose? I seem to remember you saying you were becoming a 'gear whore'.

I came to the same conclusion about the DL. It just wasn't worth it having to keep missing sessions because my back was too sore. It was a pity; I'd always enjoyed the lift.hoosegow wrote:585 to a two board and 545 to a one board for a double.

Some nice numbers there Hoose, gear queer or not
