ketosis?

Post by strathmeyer » Fri Mar 17, 2006 1:20 pm

Is there any scientific evidence for the existance of ketosis? I can't find any. I don't need to see scientific studies, but need to at least be able to find them myself (by being referenced through popular literature.)

Well, yes, it is most definately recognized as a real state of being. It's described here.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ketosis
I was going to go on, but the link gives a good explanation, along with the definition of ketoacidosis, which is related, and is entertwined with type I diabetes. Just do a search on "Ketosis". You'll get plenty of hits, just beware of the ones that lead to authors selling books.

Shoot! I'm a Wikipedia fanatic. Can't believe I didn't think to start there. Thanks!
