squat

Post by jj » Wed Oct 29, 2008 3:53 pm

hi
i'm like really unsure of myself when i train so am open to all sorts of advice and thats what i get constantly different advice. i used to be happy with my squats, til someone told me i was leaning to far forward, i had my knees so that they didn't go over my toes and was noticing good results. now i use the smith squat machine, but prefer doing barbel squats, how important do u think it is if i lean forward, i find it impossible to squat straight down, janice

No one can squat straight up and down. The angle of your back is largely determined by the length of your legs relative to your back. What's right for one person may be different for another.
