Matt, posting as one of the moderators here. DubDub brings up a good point. If you do decide to post on a daily basis, it might be a good idea to shift it over. If not, hey, let it stay where it is. Let me know if you want to shift it, and I'll put it over in the journal section

Hi Matt, it's almost instantaneous. Just follow the register steps. When you submit it, you should get a verification almost instantly. I wasn't aware you had to be a registered member to post in the hournal though. I know you can't post in anyone else's journal, just their comments log.

I feel like there's nothing wrong with posting every time you set a new PR, the point of the thread is to give people a place to show what they're proud of... [edited]

Okay, I am now officially a member AND I started my own online workout journal. I don't plan on including every workout here. Instead, I figure I'll just include a sampling of typical workouts every couple of weeks.

Hey Zeratum. I have an Oly EZ bar, and it weighs 18 lbs. Have no idea what the standard bar weighs.

Well, I didn't quite get 260lbs on bench today, as my journal explains. I am going to go ahead and call it a new 1RM of 259...

but I did actually set a new 2RM for bench press: 250lbs. Note that this was my previous all time best 1RM!

Hey DubDub,

I think you can get to 270 if you increase your pushups max. I was surprised to see you could only get 33. How much do you weigh?
If you can get to 50 pushups for one set, then two sets of 30...just a minute maybe 1 1/2 minute res in between...you'll build an extra endurance into your chest muscles. The recovery will be quicker and get you an extra 5-10 lbs. in the bench press.

Age: 42; 6'; 175lbs.
My 1 rep/ set max: ( and I'm not into bodybuilding...just good exercise and pushing the limits):
Bench Press: 210 X2
Pushup: 65
Dips: 45
Pullup: 16 ( palms facing forward ) 21 ( facing towards me)
Leg Press: 475 X 2
Barbell curl: 80 X 5

KIng Kong...show us the pics...
Your mind needs exercise too.

JeffD,

Perhaps not...just a thought. It did help me with lighter weight on the bench press...going from 150 to 175. So, at the weights above 200 it may not help that much.
