He did - I asked him his thoughts on GMO. Read the posts more carefully.Jebus wrote:I wouldn't consider aspartame that GM, Soy on the other hand...
Also Ironman didnt say that GMO foods were bad, or good, he just said there is no solid evidence linking aspartame to cancer and other health problems.

Yeah, that was because of 1 organization's stupid business practices.Peter Rouse wrote:How do you think that batch of l-tryptophan that killed a bunch of people was contaminated? GMO!Jebus wrote:I wouldn't consider aspartame that GM, Soy on the other hand...
Just because something is GM doesn't necessarily mean it's bad. In this case it was, but the company also was cutting costs in the purification. No contaminated batches have been reported since.
Also, personally I don't think we should GM crops, I wouldn't even eat the foods they GM anyway.
But I would like to see those trees in BC and alberta that have been hit hard by those damn bugs GM, if it can save them, if not then no.

He did not blindly defend GMO, he merely pointed out that it is a huge subject that is bound to have some positive and negative applications.Peter Rouse wrote:He did - I asked him his thoughts on GMO. Either that, or he thinks GMO is good for electronics. I'm not sure.
