Re: Protein Powder: What kind do you use?
COde to use: SAM210
My anytime mix is as follows:
10% Egg White Protein
45% Whey Protein Isolate Ion-Exchange
20% Micellar Casein
25% Whey Protein Concentrate
This is 30/70 long digesting quick digesting. I mix in Lactade.
My during workout mix is as follows:
70% whey Protein concentrate
15% hydro whey
15% BCAA
2 scoops of Surge Workout Fuel from Biotest.
Here is a listing of all their premade mixes

I don't know if you really need to go that crazy with stuff unless you are competitive. I mean, 4 scoops and some milk of my anytime does me well. BUt I will say, drinking in the protein and cals from sugar during my workouts, really does make a difference. It isn't huge, but will worth the $.
EDIT:

TEAMSKIP seems to be a favorite. And a great meal replacement.

Re: Protein Powder: What kind do you use?
I use:
ON 100% Whey - why? I'm lactose intolerant with milk allergies as well, yet this stuff doesn't bother me at all. Most other whey proteins do. I expect it's the lactase they put in there. Also, their flavoring doesn't leave an aftertaste in my mouth. I prefer the chocolate, because for whatever reason the 10-pound bag is often on sale.
I get my non-protein stuff - BCAAs, L-Glutamine, my maltodextrin/dextrose mix, etc. from True Protein. And I've gotten whey from them in the past. Great site. I've got a code for them on my website, but Eric's posted his with a nice mix so I won't rain on his free protein. :)

Pete, post your code man, pimp it out.
I posted my buddies code, but if people want to support you please feel free to get some free protein.
