I dragged a sled for the first time today Peter, needless to say I have even more respect for you and those ridiculous conditioning workouts you do now

Heheh, thanks. Now go drag it again, it's good for you! :)robertscott wrote:I dragged a sled for the first time today Peter, needless to say I have even more respect for you and those ridiculous conditioning workouts you do now
The funny thing is, the first day I showed up at DeFranco's for training, they hooked me up to a sled and told me to walk around the building with it. Day one, exercise one - walk with a sled. It just got heavier as the days went on. :)

I've fallen in love with it though, burns like fire and no DOMS! Who'd have thought it possible?

Sled dragging is awesome. I did a whole workout today for a client with a Prowler - with one of those, a barbell, and some plates, I could do any kind of workout I'd need.

yeah I remember Chad Waterbury saying that his car boot has got some plates and a barbell and that's all he needs. He can train all his clients just with that.
I cringe (I guess we all do) when you see some of the weird stuff people do when they could just be lifting a bar.
Only a slightly related note, my gym has just splashed out on some exercise bikes that have a screen on the handle bars that shows a computer game terrain you have to navigate, so there's hills, turns etc. They cost the best part of a grand each apparently. So sad.

Well, yeah. A Prowler and a dragging sled would be too expensive, for sure. :(

Oh, I meant the gym.
And an econo prowler will fit anywhere, if you're willing to lock it together and take it apart repeatedly. Annoying but possible!

woops, I thought we were talking about Chad's boot...
...the sled we use in the gym is 2 big tyres nailed together with a big bucket in the middle. Couldn't cost more than 10 bucks

I like that. You could just load up the bucket with rocks, or in Peter's case, kids.robertscott wrote:woops, I thought we were talking about Chad's boot...

I wish I knew why it bounced you! But that was an impressive deadlift, with great form for such a heavy single.
Only 266 more pounds to beat Magnusson!

Very tired lately . . . I actually posted my log update to this thread. Duh. Cut and pasted.
