Please forgive me if this has been answered before; I promise I used the 'search' function before posting and could not find the answer.
If ExRx is looking to be helpful and provide the general public with an exercise template- Why are the sheets and document protected so that I can not add my own exercise names to the selection lists? It just seems counter-intuitive to me.
I could not find any product that would allow me to purchase the exercise templates to unlock them neither- which is what lead to my post. I'm not sure what is trying to be done here.
Thank you in advance.

Re: workoutcard.xls (Workout Template) Password Protected ?
I can't download the spreadsheets since I'm at work, but I would presume they are protected so someone doesn't just rip off the spreadsheet and sell them as their own work. Yes, I can imagine someone doing that. I expect they are pretty simple and can serve as a template for you to build your own spreadsheet. I wonder what someone on EBay would pay for these? Maybe there's a business here. Hmmm. Anyway, if you need some help, send me a PM and I'll see if I can't whip something up for you this evening.
Re: workoutcard.xls (Workout Template) Password Protected ?
Thanks for getting back to me... I went ahead and created a form using Google drive based on ExRx's 2 day split push/pull template.
I should be good to go for now. Thank you for being kind enough to offer to put something together for me.
It wasn't my inability to reproduce them, just odd that they would be made available/encourage you to download them for use - but disallow them to be edited.

Can you link where you are talking about?

Hoosegow, the OP likely can't link yet but I found them here: http://www.exrx.net/WeightTraining/WorkoutLogs.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I'm not sure why you couldn't edit.
