2.5kg uneven barbell on deadlift and OH presses?

Post by huynhthi870 » Sat May 12, 2018 3:50 am

Hey guys. I'm doing a programme based on deadlifts and OH side press at the moment (tsatsouline).

The programme requires 2.5kg increments and the gym doesn't have 1.25kg weights.

I've tried deadlifts with 2.5kg more on one side and it doesn't seem too big a deal. I changed which side I stood between sets and can keep varying it.

I guess with the side press it would be more of a problem as it's very balanced.

What's your opinion?

I was thinking of buying my own weights, but it's still a bit of a drag having them in my bag.

I made my own micro weights with chain from the hardware store. For dumbbells, magnets are popular. (brand name Platemates) You can use anything as long as you know what it weighs.
